Hi, I am YangStar. I live in Kunming, Yunnan, China, and work as a software developer at a state-owned company.

Most of my time and attention go into the following areas.

Investing ​

I mainly invest in companies that build AI infrastructure.

My investing philosophy is simple: hold excellent companies for the long term, improve my ability to earn outside the market, and use leverage carefully to reach financial independence earlier.

AI ​

I am a strong believer in AI. My main subscriptions are GPT Team and Claude Pro.

A useful form of leverage

Video keeps working while you rest.

You record it once, and it can reach thousands of people at almost no marginal cost. That kind of leverage was difficult to imagine not long ago.

I currently run channels about consumer technology, finance, and AI—the fields I am genuinely interested in.

This site is built with VitePress. Its typography and visual language draw inspiration from a few excellent sources:

  • Typeface: IBM Plex Sans, self-hosted as a variable font across the interface, headlines, and body text.
  • Typography and layout: 1q43.blog inspired the original Chinese reading rhythm, which remains preserved in the source. The English edition uses tighter tracking and a narrower reading measure.
  • Editorial structure: Situational Awareness for focused long-form writing.
  • Color and interface: Anthropic for its warm, restrained palette.
